Wine and Wool 2016 Fees: include double occupancy room with 2 queen beds, full breakfasts, wine and cheese reception and opening night special event. Lunch and dinner are not included; but we always have plenty of food brought and shared by attendees! Add $50 for a single room. Registration and payment are online! Cancellations: If you cancel by Oct 1st, you will receive a full refund; Cancel by Oct 14th for a $150 refund; NO REFUNDS will be given after Oct 14th. NO EXCEPTIONS

Class - Appalachian Shawl Design
Sat., 9-12. Basics of Triangular Shawl Design.By knitting a small sample shawl with a lace edging, we will find out what's particular to Appalachian Shawl Design. We'll find out how the various parts of a shawl can be altered to make many different triangular shawls.
Supplies: #8 knitting needles, one skein worsted wt wool or wool blend yarn.
Supply Fee: $15 for a 32 page class booklet

Class - Grandmother's Sock: Sat., 2 - 5pm; Quote from Annie,"My Grandmother knit socks for her 12 siblings and never used a sock pattern" Using Annie's grandmother's sock pattern, we will explore designing our own socks; we will explore the relationship of one sock part to another.
Supplies: #7 Double Point knitting needles, one skein worsted wt wool or wool blend yarn, $1.00 for class handout (directly to teacher)

Class - Knitted Lace Edgings (from the Five And Dime) - Sun., 9-noon. Learn to knit lace edgings for any project - shawls, sweaters, scarves, baby clothes, whatever! We'll learn how to read lace charts, how to knit lace, and how to attach lace edgings. Designs will be taken from old Five and Dime store pattern booklets!
Supplies: US #1 ndles, #6 ndles, one skein worsted wt yarn
Supply Fee (directly to teacher) - $10, includes handout, patterns, cotton thread.
