Mike,
Both the Standard (free) and Pro versions of FormSmarts include form spam protection. We use various techniques to stop form spam, including CAPTCHA when needed, depending on the threat identified in real time for each form submission. You can learn more <a href="http://formsmarts.com/form-spam" rel="nofollow">here</a>.

Regarding your question about programming languages, FormSmarts is a hosted service, so the technology used on our server is transparent to our customers.

I am very interested in upgrading to a paid version of your product. However, I would like to know how you provide protection against spambots and spammers who manually use a webform to send out spam related messages. I have run into a problem or vulnerability in which a spambot is sending out mass amounts of spam messages to a recipient. After reading your blogs I believe these idiots are conducting these tasks to improve their search engine rankings.

If I upgrade to a paid version of your product, do you have any money back guarantees if for some reason the service isn’t doing what I need? I particularly need maximum security protection against these spam bots.

Also, does your service use CGI, ASP, PHP?? What type of programming languages are used to validate form content.

Finally, what type of CAPTCHA techniques are implemented in your pro version?

Thanks for any information,
Mike.
