Thank you for using the online registration and payment form for CIEC 2023.

This form is used to register and make payment using a credit card or PayPal (a PayPal account is not required). If you need to pay using a check, please email the CIEC Registrar at gayle.elliott@uc.edu, to receive a paper registration form which can be sent through the mail with your check.

Make sure the billing address you use to register matches the billing address for your credit card/university P-card when submitting payment. If it does not, your credit card will be denied.

There are two registration rates based on date submitted: Early Bird (through Nov. 18) and Regular (through the conference end).

PLEASE NOTE:
Registration is not complete until payment is made and you receive a confirmation email (immediately upon payment).

The email is your receipt/proof of payment. If you do not receive an email confirmation within a few minutes, please check your junk mail, deleted items, or spam folder.

Conference and Event Registration

All registration prices shown are currently at the regular registration rate.

Advance registration for any pre- or post-conference event(s) is strongly encouraged as “on-site” event ticket purchases will be on a space available basis.

**CANCELLATION POLICY: Refunds will be issued for cancellations on or before January 9, 2023 minus a $50 processing fee.
The CIEC incurs expenses for registrants as the conference draws near. We apologize, but NO REFUNDS WILL BE ISSUED FOR CANCELLATIONS MADE AFTER JANUARY 9, 2023.

Conference Registration and Sponsorship Packages
*Full conference registration Includes Wednesday's Opening Reception, two lunches and conference breaks. The Embassy Suites Hotel provides complimentary breakfast for guests staying at the conference hotel.

One day registration includes meals and breaks on the registration day only.

Platinum Level Sponsor - $5,000: 2 full conference registrations, an opportunity to give a brief presentation at a luncheon, recognition in the program booklet and at all functions, inclusion of marketing or promotional material you provide in attendee’s packets, color full page advertisement in conference program, booth/signs in exhibit space.

Gold Level Sponsor - $2,500: 2 full conference registrations, inclusion of marketing or promotional material you provide in attendee’s packets, color full page advertisement in conference program book, booth/signs in exhibit space.

Tuesday Workshop: ETD 215 Leveraging User Experience Mapping to Solve Problems More Effectively.
Facilitators: Megan DeGuglielmo and Melissa Symanski, SIMPSON GUMPERTZ & HEGER, 1:00 - 3:00 pm (ticketed event) .

Description: User Experience (UX) mapping, sometimes called Employee Experience (EX) or Customer Experience (CX), is a way to generate ideas and solve problems by (1) mapping the current state, (2) identifying the bright spots and pain points, (3) generating ideas to improve the bright spots and pain points, and (4) presenting recommendations for the future state. User Experience mapping can be used across industries to better understand your stakeholders and partner with them to improve their experience. This interactive workshop provides participants with a framework and templates for how to run mapping sessions with their stakeholders.

Tuesday Networking Dinner: CIEC 211 Explore Engineering in Charleston Museum Networking Dinner, 6:00 – 9:30 pm including transportation time (ticketed event)
Spend the evening learning about Charleston’s fascinating history while networking with your colleagues. Take a self-guided tour of the Charleston Museum and try your luck in the engineering-themed scavenger hunt! This event includes catered dinner, alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks and private bus transportation to and from the museum.
Limited to 50 people. The museum dinner is currently at capacity. If you would like to be put on a waiting list for space that may become available, please indicate your request below. You will be notified by email if space becomes available.
CIEC 211 Charleston Museum Networking Dinner (ticketed event)
Friday Workshop CIEC 501 Corporate Networking/Luther Epting Golf Scramble, includes lunch, green fees, cart, clubs and transportation, if needed, 7:00 am - 2:00 pm, (ticketed event)
Friday Workshop: CEED 512 Employer Site Visit, Attendees should convene at the Hotel main entrance at 10:50 am on Friday Feb 10, for departure at 11am.**
Attendance limited to 25 people. Registrations accepted until capacity is reached (ticketed event)

CEED is offering attendees a chance at a behind the scenes tour of the Boeing facilities, information on internship/co-op and career opportunities and an insight Boeing’s impact on industry in South Carolina and across the globe. Private transportation to and from the event is included.

Exhibit Set-Up Hours: Tuesday, Feb. 7, 3:00-5:00 pm and Wednesday, Feb. 8, 8:00 - 10 am.
Registered participants a the Expo are invited to bring one additional participant with them. Lunch and break refreshments on February 8 and 9 are included for all Expo participants. Please note conference registration is not included with the Expo and requires additional registration.
Electricity will be available at no additional cost on request.
EXPO Opens: Wednesday, Feb. 8 at 10:30 am.
EXPO Closes: Thursday, Feb. 9 at 4:00 pm.
