Additional Needs

Important Considerations: Environment & Support Needs
At YIFM, we are passionate about inclusivity and love welcoming a diverse range of young people to our programmes. However, to ensure every participant has a safe and rewarding experience, it is important to understand the specific nature of our workshops.

Our Creative Environment

Our programmes are high-energy, fast-paced, and physically dynamic. Throughout the day, participants will encounter:
  1. High Sensory Input: Constant noise, frequent changes in lighting, and a bustling atmosphere.
  2. Group Dynamics: A strong focus on collaborative team-work and following collective instructions.
  3. Fast Transitions: A rapid workflow that requires a high level of adaptability.

Support Limitations

While we strive to be as accommodating as possible, we do not have SNAs or specialized support staff on our team.

Consequently:
  • We are not in a position to provide 1-to-1 care or manage high-level support needs.
  • All participants must be able to navigate a group setting independently and adhere to our behavior policy.

We ask that you carefully consider whether this high-intensity, over-stimulating environment is the right fit for your young person. If a participant requires a level of support beyond what our current resources allow, we may not be able to provide the environment they deserve to flourish.

The way we work with young people.
In order to ensure healthy group dynamics at our summer camps, we avoid putting friend groups together in one group. This helps all members of each group to get to know each other on an even footing and enjoy the creative space as equals. If siblings are attending and their age ranges differ we will not be able to put them into the same group.

By filling out the details in the entry form you are granting such permission.

By accepting a place on YIFM Summer Camps you agree to the following Anti Bullying Policy and Behaviour Policy
