Nitartha Insitute provides payment plan and financial assistance (PPFA) option to students with financial difficulties. Please note that PPFA is applicable on tuition only, not meal or housing.

If you are a Nalandabodhi member and are interested in attending a Nalandabodhi PI Training during module 3 ( for more info, please see our wesbite), please apply here. After your are accepted to the PI training, you will pay for tuition, housing, meals for Module 3 PI Training on a different registration form.

Gomdra Level Selection

Gomdra Level 1: A new cycle of Mahamudra teachings based on the Ocean of Definitive Meaning will begin. Prerequisites: None. The new cycle is open to all who are interested.

Gomdra Level 2: Level 2 is a continuing Mahamudra program for returners to the gomdra. Please click here for qualification details.

Practice Background

Dzogchen Ponlop Rinpoche will be teaching a Sutra class which is open to all students called DISTINGUISHING THE VIEWS AND PHILOSOPHIES: A LAMP OF ESSENTIAL POINTS.

Rinpoche will also be teaching a Tantra course on LUMINOUS ESSENCE: THE TANTRA OF THE SECRET ESSENCE this summer. This Tantra course is restricted to qualified students only. Please click here for qualification details.


Mindful Activity Assignments

All able-bodied participants are kindly requested to adopt a small Mindful Activity (MA) assignment for the duration of their stay at Nitartha Summer Institute. The Summer Institute needs your support to keep the learning/practice environment clean and peaceful.

Online Streaming and Moodle Access

If you are planning to attend ONLY one module on-site, you can choose the following add-on, in order to complete the entire cycle of teachings:
1. Moodle Online Access for DPR's Sutra Class, DISTINGUISHING THE VIEWS AND PHILOSOPHIES: A LAMP OF ESSENTIAL POINTS. You can log in to view the teaching when you have time. No limited viewing time set.
2. Live Stream for ALTG's Gomdra Class, THE OCEAN OF DEFINITIVE MEANING. You have to view the teaching live at 9:10-10:20AM Pacific Time every day, no recordings provided for later viewing.

No online viewing or catch-up options for DPR’s Tantra class.

Optional 2pm class

During the after-lunch period, at 2pm, 3 optional classes will be offered. They have no pre-requisites. Students can select whichever class they feel interested in. Please note that -

1. Mudra Space Awareness
It is offered during Gomdra Module 1 & 2 ONLY.

2. Intro to Tibetan
It is offered during Gomdra Module 1 & 2 ONLY.

3. Tibetan Reading Course
It follows the two-week Shedra modes. It is for students who know the Tibetan alphabet and have a basic grasp of Tibetan grammar. It is offered during Shedra Session 1 (July 6-19) and Shedra Session 2 (July 21- Aug 3).

Donations

Teaching Gifts: Most of Nitartha's faculty members teach on a voluntary basis. Your teaching gift will support our teachers to continue their dedication to the Buddhist teachings. We encourage you to give any amount you feel inspired to. Suggested amount: $100-150 each module.

PPFA Donations: PPFA (Payment Plan & Financial Assistance Fund) is Nitartha's financial-aid program for students with financial difficulties. Your donation will support other students to attend Nitartha's programs.
